California Dreaming - old motto, new design!

If you live in Southern California it's hard to not feel like you're on vacation every day. Now, for me this doesn't mean the kind of vaca where you just lay in the sand two weeks straight to clock out from the world. More like that adventure vaca where you can discover so many new things every day and by the time the sun sets your skin glows, your eyes are filled with joy and all you care for are soft cotton sheets after a foamy bath and candlelight.

What I adore a lot here, especially in the little beach town Santa Monica, is that you can be as laid back as you like. Restaurants won't shun you if you wear flip flops and yoga pants, bringing your doggo to basically every occasion is standard and supported (yay). It is this beautiful freedom and coexistence that inspired me to design Mondkind Bags that portrait this free-spirited lifestyle.

The new embroidery brings that SoCal vibe without taking over the whole bag. I wanted every customer to have the option to either go fully "Born in California" style - or to opt for a small outlined California map with logo embroidery. Since the ocean is sort of my soul medicine I wanted to add one logo with palm trees that shows the beautiful simplicity yet adorable details.

By the way, every new California Mondkind bag has a fun cotton fabric liner that makes you smile when opening your drawstring backpack. It's just one of the cute surprises. The fabrics are so soft yet durable. I use mine as pillow substitute when I chill by the beach or while sitting on the passenger seat during one of my beloved road trips.
